The Enrollment Process

Typically, each participating university offers distance learning degree programs that are also conducted on-campus and taught by the same faculty that conducts courses onsite at the universities. For enrollment into any program, one would have to apply to individual universities. Undergraduates generally have to apply to one of the UT System academic campuses online using what is called the Texas Common Application form.

Additionally, note that after being admitted by a particular institution, one can also register for an online course offered by a different institution, for which one would have to submit an online Inter-Institutional Distance Education Admissions and Registration (IDEAR) form, from the TeleCampus Information System (TIS) website.

Issuing of Degrees by Individual Universities

The university that you enrolled with would issue degree and diploma certificates, and not the UT TeleCampus, which serves more as a support center.

Some of the member institutions of the University of Texas distance learning system include The University of Texas at Arlington, The University of Texas at Brownsville, The University of Texas at Austin, The University of Texas Anderson Cancer Center and The University of Texas at Dallas, all of which are well regarded in academia for their high teaching standards.
