Distance learning

Over 20,000 students enroll every year in Distance learning programs offered at the open campus of Riverside Community College District, where they have access to training and support for online instruction. Online courses are offered exclusively over the Internet.

All assignments are submitted to the instructors online. The virtual classroom is delivered over the web via Web CT. There are no on campus meetings. However, the students will require books, over and above Internet resources.

Hybrid courses combine both online and on campus teaching. In a hybrid course, students attend meetings on-campus during the dates and times listed in the schedule of classes.

Web-enhanced classes, unlike hybrid courses, continue to hold all their classes on-campus. They are traditional face-to-face classes augmented with course websites.

The School also offers Telecourses, college credit courses allowing students to complete much of their study at home by viewing televised or videotaped lectures instead of attending lectures on campus. These flexible courses provide students with educational opportunities to fit even the busiest schedule.

With more than 100 programs to choose from and online training and support available, RCC can be a high rewarding educational experience.
