Penn State Distance Learning

Pennsylvania State distance learning is a pioneering educational program. It founded one of the nation's first correspondence study programs, in 1892. In 1998, the University launched its 25th campus -- the Penn State World Campus, known as "Penn State | Online". More than 50 Penn State Distance Learning programs are delivered to diverse learners around the world.

The World Campus offers adult learners all over the world a chance to join some of Penn State's most valued graduate, undergraduate and continuing professional education degrees, certificates and courses.

Penn State Distance Learning Programs have been delivered to adult learners from all the 50 states. There have been learners from more than 40 countries, from all the 7 continents.

Students of Penn State Distance Learning Programs are supported by a team of professional advisers, who specialize in meeting the unique needs of adult learners. They help you to focus on your goals, and to find the programs that meet your needs. They strive to make you successful as a distance learner.

Technical support is provided to help distance learners to adjust to the online learning environment and the use of computer technology. Tutorials, news / alerts, and additional training resources are also provided.

Career advice and professional resume preparation help are available. Special packages and advice are provided for Military Personnel and Veterans, Educators, Corporations, Current Students, Transfer Students, International Students and Students with Disabilities.

Penn State Outreach

Penn State Outreach is the nation's largest outreach organization, and Penn State World Campus is a part of it. Penn State Outreach works in collaboration with the University's campuses and colleges. It helps individuals, communities and organizations to deal with the social, economic, cultural and educational issues that they face.

Outreach offers more than 2000 programs and services every year in collaboration with the academic colleges. Students and organizations can gain access to University degrees, courses, conferences and resources through Penn State Outreach.

Penn State Distance Learning Programs offer you the same high quality courses that are taught in the classroom. You are taught by the same faculty, and get the same credits. Online education offers you much more flexibility, with the convenience of studying when and where you want.
