Houston Community College Courses are Designed for Entry-Level Job Preparation

Houston Community College is the fourth largest Community College system in the United States. It serves more than 55,000 students every year. The College comprises five area colleges having multiple campus locations to provide convenient access from any neighborhood.

The main campus of the School is located in Houston, Texas.

The five area colleges of HCC are HCC-Central, HCC-North East, HCC-North West, HCC-South East and HCC-South West. The College offers Associate degrees, Specialized Programs and Courses to develop practical work skills among students.

Most of the HCC courses are hands-on with emphasis upon entry-level job preparation. There are also some short-term technical programs that award certificates of completion.

The College offers 129 programs in all. The highest degree offered is the Associate degrees, and the maximum program length is 2 to 4 years.

The College has specialized accreditations in Interior Design (FIDER), Respiratory Therapy Technician (RESTT), Dental Assisting (DA), Occupational Therapy Assistant (OTA), Respiratory Therapist (REST), Radiological Technology (RAD).

Some other specialized accredited programs available are Surgical Technologist (ST), Medical Laboratory Technician Education (MLTED), Nuclear Medicine Technology (NMT), Engineering Technology (ENGT), Emergency Medical Technician Paramedic (EMTP), and Physical Therapy (PTAA).

Distance learning
