Central Texas College Distance Learning

The Central Texas College distance learning program is an open admissions institution providing educational programs and services on a worldwide basis for 35 years and distance learning courses for 25 years.

Central Texas College provides distant learner access to career planning and placement services through email, regular mail, phone and fax. Career planning and placement services assist distant learners by providing information on employment opportunities, helping in job search activities and counselling on career selection and preparation.

Accreditation and learning opportunities

The Central Texas College distance learning program is regionally accredited and a member of the service member's opportunity college. It is one of the original e-army education partners serving a major portion of students who enroll in e-army U. Students in the Central Texas College distance learning program are offered a plethora of courses to choose from. There are five certificate programs and 10 degree programs which are offered through distance learning.

Distance learners at Central Texas College have a wide variety to choose from. Certificates of completion are given in the fields of Criminal Justice, Business Management, Hospitality Management and Risk Youth Management to name a few. Distance learners can also apply for an Associate of Applied Sciences in Applied Technology, Business Management, Criminal Justice, Hospitality Management, Office Management and so on.

Library access

Students in the Central Texas College distance learning can use the Oveta Culp Hobby Library on the Central campus or use the online library on Webcat. Distance learners will be glad to know that ASKME or Acquiring Self Regulating Knowledge in a Multimedia Environment is a research based effort developed at the University of Texas at Austin by researchers, classroom teachers and technology specialists - ASKME thus provides a flexible, motivating and an enhanced learning environment.
